Duchess of Arkansas Tammy Fussell was born in Alabama, grew up in South Dakota, but returned to her southern roots as fast as she could.  She has called Louisiana home for the last 20 years and has no desire to leave.  Tammy feels the atmosphere here is like no other place and she is hooked.

 

For the past 22 years, she has dedicated her life to the United States Air Force.  First as an Active Duty Airman in Security Forces, to a Government Civilian employee, and now as a program analyst at Barksdale Air Force Base.  Tammy has a degree in Business Management.

 

She married the love of her life five years ago and together they have six children and four grandchildren.  If she isn’t playing with her grandbabies, Tammy will be outdoors fishing, camping, or anything else she can find to do.  She believes you must have balance in your life, so she works hard and plays harder.

 

Tammy joined the Krewe of Gemini four years ago, but is not a stranger to Mardi Gras in NWLA, as she is former member of the now defunct Krewe De Les Femme Mystique.  She is honored to be serving as Duchess of Arkansas XXXIV and the best is yet to come!
