Duchess of Arkansas Gemini XXXIII, Ramee Dickerson
Ramee Dickerson was born in Shreveport and is proud to be a Louisiana resident. Her favorite city is New Orleans which happens to be the home of Mardi Gras. After graduation from high school, she followed in the footsteps of her mother and attended nursing school. She worked as a registered nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at LSUHSC for 10 years before furthering her education and pursuing her master’s degree in Nursing from LSU New Orleans. She is a dual certified Family and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and enjoys working for Willis Knighton Critical Care Medicine, Minden Medical Center Hospital Medicine, and Willis Knighton Emergency Departments.
Ramee married her lifelong best friend, Kelly Dickerson, in true Louisiana fashion with a beautiful ceremony in her favorite city of New Orleans. The ceremony was followed by a traditional police escorted Second Line which paraded around the city led by a five-piece brass band. They recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary and continue to share the love of Louisiana and the celebration of all things Mardi Gras. Her family is completed by her stepdaughter Marcyann as well as her four-legged children. When she is not serving her community or participating in Krewe events, Ramee enjoys traveling around the country but is equally happy at home enjoying time with her family, fur babies, and friends.
Ramee joined the Krewe of Gemini in 2016 and has continued to enjoy the friendship and fellowship in which the Krewe has to offer. She is passionate about her faith, family, friendships, and fur babies. When she is not actively serving her local and surrounding communities, she enjoys participating in her favorite Krewe events such as Twelfth Night, Gemini Grand Bal, Float Loading, and of course, the Gemini Grand Parade. Ramee is not only excited to participate in all the upcoming Mardi Gras celebrations for 2022 but is also honored to represent the Krewe of Gemini XXXIII as The Duchess of Arkansas.
