John Smith was born in Mississippi but was raised in the home of the Lumberjacks, Springhill, LA.  He attended Northeast Louisiana University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management.

 

Since moving to Shreveport in 1995, he has worked with the Kroger Grocery Company and for Pepsi, but he then he married a Diet Coke girl and had to change careers.  John now works for Inmar Intelligence as a Senior Field Account Manager, providing solutions to both hospital and retail pharmacies, helping them with efficiencies and compliance matters.

 

John is an avid LSU Tigers and Dallas Cowboys fan, much to the chagrin of that Diet Coke girl he married.  He loves traveling the Caribbean and Mexico, attending concerts, and going to football games.  Aside from his Diet Coke girl, his favorite person in the world is his grandson, who provides great joy and happiness, while attempting to keep John young.

 

John joined the Krewe of Gemini in 2014, just to check an item off his bucket list and has been hooked ever since.  He is honored to represent the Krewe of Gemini as Duke of Louisiana XXXIV.
