King Gemini XX Bob Robinson is a native of Bossier City. He attended Bossier Elementary and then graduated from Bossier High in 1958. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University. After spending ten years managing Health Care projects for the U.S. Public Health Service, he went back to school, receiving a Master of Science Degree and a Doctorate in Public Health from the University of Texas.

Our King is an internationally known health care consultant and lecturer, having toured all over the world teaching health care professionals techniques to improve the quality of health care while reducing overall costs. His unique health care models have been used in thirty states and four foreign countries.

His local civic activities include serving as President of the Bossier Arts Council, Vice President of the Shreveport Opera, Board Member of the Red Cross, and a member of the Bossier Lions Club and the Shreveport Rotary Club. In addition, he has held memberships in none professional health care societies, designed and managed the country’s first Mass Measles Eradication Program and served as National Chairman of a childhood immunization campaign.

He is currently responsible for the management and operation of a multidimensional enterprise encompassing health care consultation, epidemiological research, business analysis, public policy analysis, multi-media production, real estate development and oil & gas exploration.

King Gemini XX is married to the lovely JoAnna Robinson and is the father of two sons (Robert and Mark) and the stepfather of another (Michael). In addition, he is the grandfather of four wonderful grandchildren — Haley, Robert, Clair, and Rachel.

Queen Gemini XX Tommie Sue McCranie Brooks is a proud native of Bossier City, a dedicated LSU Tiger Fan, amateur gardener, tennis player, and avid reader of all good books.

Tommie Sue was educated in the public schools of Bossier City and continued her studies in Baton Rouge, Louisiana — graduating from LSU with a degree in Elementary Education. Returning to Bossier City, she began her career in education at Waller Elementary. Three years later, life took her to Abilene, Texas and then to merry ole England where she taught three years for the Department of Defense. The experience of living in England began her love of all things British-gardening, antiques, walking the footpaths, Willie’s Cottage in Cornwall — even the ubiquitous tea!

Upon returning to the United States and Louisiana, Tommie Sue came home to Bossier City and to LSU to pursue a Masters Degree in Education with a certification as Director of the Media. This decision led to a joyous career in the libraries of Platt Elementary and TL Rodes Elementary — both located in Bossier Parish.

The Krewe of Gemini has brought many special memories for Tommie Sue and husband Gerry. She was selected as the Duchess of Texas in Gemini XII and has served as Royalty Chairman for five very special Captains.

Whether on the tennis court, working in the garden or cooking for friends and family, Tommie Sue shares these pleasures with her husband and best friend, Gerald Brooks — “Brooks” to Tommie Sue.

Captain Krewe of Gemini XX Chris Stansell was born in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, but now lives in here in Shreveport, Louisiana. Although a Texan at heart, he graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a BS in Finance. He and his lovely wife Mary Louise have been married for 12 years and have two children, a son, Christopher and a daughter, Kristie. Chris is also the proud stepfather of Princess Whitney Rich who was on the court of Gemini XIX.

With an entrepreneurial passion, Chris started and operates a very successful wholesale and retail automobile business. He is a member of the prestigious Southern Trace Country Club in Shreveport, Louisiana where he enjoys playing golf.

A very significant part of his civic activities includes his many roles as a member of the Krewe of Gemini. Chris has served on the Board of Directors for several years and was last year’s Sponsorship Chairman. In addition he served as Duke of Texas for Gemini XVII.
