Hello Gemini!
We are a few weeks out from our Grand Ball. The committee has been hard at work to make this one the best yet! To loosely quote Paul Prudhomme,"If this doesn't get you excited, there's something wrong with you!" Below are some last minute reminders for your planning purposes...
· Think of, invite, and secure tickets for 5 more people to attend the Ball before the next general meeting (Jan. 18). Talk to Lauri Wallace for information.
· Jan. 20th: Drop Dead Date...for food or personal cocktail servers from the Convention Center is January 20 at 12:00 Noon. Miranda Small has extended the deadline but the 20th at noon will be it! You must use the "Savor...Catering by SMG" order form from the Convention Center to book your food and cocktail servers. I have attached the order form to this document. The bars will be closed during the tableau so if you want to continue to have service from the bar, you must arrange for a cocktail server. To get in touch with Miranda Small:

· Decorating...Come down Caddo Street and turn in behind the Convention Center to the loading bays. You will be able to park inside Exhibit Hall 2 and then unload your cars to decorate your tables in Exhibit Hall 3. Please bring your own dollies/carts to unload your decorations. When you are finished decorating, remove your cars from the exhibit hall and have a great day.
· Times to decorate tables
o Friday, January 29, 8 AM to 3 PM
o Saturday, January 30, 8 AM to 3 PM
January 30th...Gemini Goes Fiction Grand Ball!
o Doors open at 7:00
o Tableau starts at 8:00
o Drop your guests off at the front door...You can access the circular drive in front of Exhibit Hall #3 by coming down Caddo Street and then proceed on to park your car.
o Bring $5 to park in the parking garage. You will receive your parking ticket at the beginning of the evening as you enter the parking garage. You will need this ticket to get out of the garage at the end of the evening. Put the ticket somewhere safe (like your dashboard or console) so you can find it after the ball is over.
January 31st...Clean Up 8 AM to 5 PM
o All items must be out of the Convention Center by 5 PM
